A DST Sponsor is a person or entity that creates a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) to hold real property asset(s) and arranges for the issuance of beneficial interests in the DST to investors.
The DST Sponsor typically arranges for a “Master Tenant” to lease and maintain the assets held by the DST. The DST Sponsor will usually maintain control over the Master Tenant and any property manager engaged to manage the assets of the DST.
