The Combined Rate accounts for Federal, State, and Local tax rate on capital gains income, the 3.8 percent Surtax on capital gains and the marginal effect of Pease Limitations (which results in a tax rate increase of 1.18 percent).

Ohio's personal and dependent exemptions are $2,200 for an AGI of $40,000 or less, $1,950 if AGI is between $40,001 and $79,999, and $1,700 if AGI is $80,000 or above.
