Recapping the 2021 InvestmentNews Retirement Income Summit

Written by The Realized Team | Dec 13, 2021

In November, Realized attended the InvestmentNews Retirement Income Summit in Naples, Florida. The event provides professionals within the retirement planning industry the opportunity to network and gain knowledge on trends in retirement income planning.

Realized, in partnership with Cantor Fitzgerald and Traphagen CPAs and Wealth Advisors, led a panel discussion on Optimizing Clients’ Retirement Wealth Using the Latest Tax Strategies. During our conversation, we discussed how we can support advisors’ practices and their clients’ experiences by providing 1031-exchange eligible solutions that allow investors to move freely from actively managing real estate assets to passively managing those assets while still seeking to receive monthly income.

Leveraging 1031 exchanges allows investors to defer capital gains taxes, which in turn allows clients to retain more of their principal during the transfer of their appreciated asset. Realized can also help advisors and their clients put these proceeds into customized investment portfolios that are tailored to an individual client’s retirement income needs, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.

In addition to presenting at the Retirement Income Summit, Realized has recently sponsored the latest season of the InvestmentNews Retirement Repair Shop podcast with Mary Beth Franklin. This season will focus on retirement challenges and how to get financials back on track. For episodes and to learn more, you can visit our website.
